Thread regarding Ford layoffs

RTO Flyer at PDC

Anybody else see this around PDC this morning? Can't say I disagree. Curious if leadership will actually address this point at the all hands?

We’ve been told repeatedly that outcomes matter more than optics — that it's not about how much work we do, but what we deliver.

This year, we delivered. The metrics are green. The progress is real.

So why the sudden shift in remote work policy? If collaboration or performance were truly suffering, wouldn’t that show up in the results?

If outcomes are the true north, then let’s operationalize that: allow teams or individuals who consistently meet or exceed goals to retain flexibility in how they work. Reward results, not physical presence.

Ultimately: is leadership more focused on where we work, or what we achieve?

@ec why does our government not do a regime change. Instead, we peddle hundreds of millions to a company that hurts the next generation of builder… so these ceremonial figureheads stay coursing the direction they want Michigan to head

@af Unfortunately for you, it really doesn't matter how many shares you own. The Ford family set things up so that they always hold the controlling interest. If this were a regular corporation, the shareholders could stage a revolt and force changes to the company, but not at Ford.

That's why anyone who buys shares in Ford is basically a su---r.

@af

Nope. So what are you going to do, besides impotent whining on a message board?

Jack squat, that's what.

Like the repeat of the Profit Sharing debacle a few years back. We never learn.

@a8 have you not seen the metrics leadership is communicating? Either they're truthful and we're (mostly) green, or they're lying and we're red - but either way the official story doesn't add up.

You delivered on what your leadership wanted which was kumbayah, a-s kissing, smiling, back slapping, good vibes, DEI, EV dogma, utopian silicon software dreams, etc.

Doesn't seem like facing down real problems like quality of product and execution are as important as the list above... so leadership got what they asked for.

@ag they should start by firing LL3+ who declare that they do not care what is under the hood

@af
No one here at Ford cares how many shares you own or what you do with them.
Executive Management needs to focus on the reasons why our vehicle quality is substandard and the rest will follow.

I’m a shareholder, your results are not green. Get to work in the office. At the end of the day, I’m your boss, not some LL6.
