H1B rules for layoff

In 2024, no H1b were impacted but the rest. What is company policy? Is it legal protection for H1b?

Can they actually/legally withdraw existing H-1B sponsorships?

In August, Fid--- will evaluate all current H-1B sponsorships as part of a broader effort to optimize workforce planning.

H1-B positions both full time and contractors are being affected and there are no “special” protections. Those let go will be given a window to find another position/company willing to sponsor. Otherwise, they will need to return to their country of origin.

I’ve seen H-1B workers affected by past layoff. However, this post feels more like it’s aimed at stirring resentment toward visa holders.

Most of them are contractors or FT with comparatively lower pay than others. But this time I see many Director or VPs CLs /architects who might be getting higher pay so let's see.
