Don't expect job security ever again. We're well past that point. This is the new normal, and the sooner you accept it, the better off you'll be. I'm not saying it's good or right, but there's nothing you or I can do about it. If you're planning to stay, the only thing left is to get used to it.

I would say that most of our jobs will move to India. That is my prediction. I hope I'm wrong. The best advice I can give is to stay valuable!

Don't expect much.. FIS outsources alot to India as well. People are just greedy fu--s and don't give a sh-t about their own people. They'd rather hire cheaper labor and have subpar quality then keep dedication and experience. I personally hope it all fu--ing implodes on itself

So true. I've been the Chicken Little on my team for six months. "It's happening! Get ready!" Sadly, this week it happened. Some of these folks who were chopped have decades of service. It is not appreciated and no one above middle management even bats an eyelash. They don't even remotely care or pretend to. Heartless is an understatement.

Already used to it. Layoffs every year. Just wonder when my name will be on the list. As a TSYS TM I can't wait for FIS to take over. Hopefully they'll appreciate what we bring to the table. GP has treated us like the ugly stepchild for 6 years now. Can't wait to be on better hands.
