Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Flexible Work Arrangement

General question about flexible work arrangements. My leader is not in my office. If I work from home a day here and there without putting in a flexible work arrangement in workday, will my leader know?

@d8 “ so you are saying that the large group of associates who are currently full time WFH still have targets on their backs?”

They absolutely do. Part of the strategy of opening the KC building is because “many associates still don’t have an office.” That was a direct quote from the Town Hall.

@OP you are the type of person i don't ever want to work with. clearly you are dishonest and lack integrity. you are also part of the reason why we went into lock down under Frank. get your shish together and stop frigging around.

@j2 reread the first paragraph of your post. You specifically stated "Lyons will never allow full time WFH". That's all I have to say about that.

@d8 Lyons never mentioned people still WFH full time. Don't put words in my mouth.

Half my team are remote because they're not near an office. What I wrote about was for FTE who are in the office.

@b8 Frank gave the worthy people what people asked for.

@cy so you are saying that the large group of associates who are currently full time WFH still have targets on their backs? If so, nothing has changed or will change based on your reference to what Lyons stated. Go Fiserv (to the bottom).

If it is a full wfh day it needs to be in workday. Don’t ruin it for the rest of us

@cy in all sincerity I have never once abused it. I've worked from home once since March.

@bh agreed

People like OP is why our flextime and hybrid schedules were taken away from us in the first place. People on my own team abused the sh-t out of it before FB doubled down on full time RTO.

Lyons is trying to claw back some of it. He will never permit us to WFH full time. He already stated that in the town hall, however he did say that if you do your job as expected, he wants to make sure you have the flexibility you need.

The 10 WFH days is a test. If this goes well and people don't abuse it, he will be happy to give us more flexibility back. He also said that if people abuse this test phase, then he will leave it at that and only keep 10 WFH days. If anyone watched his town hall they would have heard the same.

Let's not blow this. We are rid of FB. Higgins is leaving end of month. He also said he is culling more managers because they're not effective (is dead weight). I'm glad he is. We don't need so many managers. Lyons hates unnecessary bureaucracy which he said he found where it wasn't needed. He wants that sh-t gone, too.

I know that last paragraph is off topic but necessary to add optics that he's trying to turn things around and undo a lot of FB's bureaucratic bullsh-t that he used to cover up deficiencies and waste in the company.

It’s called respect, integrity and doing the right thing. Just let your boss know and stop trying to sneak around without people knowing! If you aren’t doing anything wrong there isn’t anything to hide. Don’t ruin it for the rest of us!!!

Amazing. You are asking if it's ok to bypass and break company policy. If you have to ask you shouldn't do it, plain and simple. This is why Frank went ballistic on people trying to game the system, just follow protocol and wfh if you need to, that's why it is there!

@a3 really? I never heard that. If that's the case what about our 10 remote days?

@OP I don't believe that is required at all anymore. They have relaxed that requirement.
