I want to be cut. Did anyone use the re-org meeting to request to be let go?

@ba That sounds like a great way to retain motivated employees who will put in 100%…
It depends, if you’ve been here for a while, you likely will get a “retirement” package. I know of two people in my department, both wanted to be severance. One got his wish, the other had dignity to hers, they allowed her to “retire” with a package. We also got to celebrate her in their last week. I applaud our leadership with the decision (if it was truly their decision.)
I will say both though still have mixed feelings, they miss the speed of how we moved but they don’t miss the many layoffs we’ve had.
I know of one person that was demoted from management to IC role during the last riff and lobbied hard to get a package. No dice. It was take the new role or resign and get nothing.
@OP last year I had a work associate request to leave and Nike honored their request.
So OP, how did it go?
Leave a3@. We don’t want you either.
I will. Hopefully, they will offer me that same package. I don't want to work to this fu--ing company anymore.
@OP+1jxg3wfys I know of one person this worked for last round
