They are all gone since 2024. Retired, resign, took the package, laid off.

After Pat, lots of folks left

The smartest people at Intel are people who are stupid outside of it.

PG is the one. He took millions of dollars from Intel and did nothing to it. Did he retire? Intel said so. But oh no ... He took the money to open new companies and venture capitals. When you are retired you should not work anymore. This is Intel lie and bullsh-t. Very smart right? Not yet guys. He is now talking AI bubble bullsh-t outside of Intel and around the world while saying AI everywhere bullsh-t at Intel.

Executive Leadership is the smartest. They know how to do the talking without any tangible results, and yet manage to move on to better things after getting millions into their pocket on the way out. Truly amazing work! This has been going on for decades and Intel is fast asleep still.

You are all going to hate me and I'll get the most down votes ever but the truth is...H1B visa employees are truly the smartest people at Intel. The benefits of an H-1B visa include the ability to legally work in the United States in a specialized occupation, a path to permanent residency (Green Card) due to its "dual intent" status, and the eligibility for dependents (spouse and children under 21) to join them in the U.S.. The visa also allows for changing employers under certain conditions, and H-1B holders can pursue further education while employed. Don't Shoot The Messenger 😘

The smartest people in Intel are being told by their managers that they are trouble-makers and they are doing the wrong thing.

The managers kick out the smart people, and steal their results.

LBT, thanks for asking. Please weigh the responses responsibly, being aware of the biases at each level in the hierarchy.

The smartest people? Those who got into management. Their jobs are secure, they can always delegate all their work. They don't actually have to DO anything, just make sure their underlings are on top of things and they know "what's the status" on important things. They are the last ones to get laid off, and they can switch to IC roles. Their salaries are high.

People who get their work done and are not in the management waterwheel. Management types are great at managing up and coming up with things that sound good but successful outcomes rarely stick except for the moment in time; thinking changes at the top and everyone moves on to the next great idea. It's the get your job done people that do not always survive the layoffs. Seen it too many times. The people that stay are the ones that have developed their network and get along with their management enough to not get laid off. but that doesn't mean their work is necessarily better. Maybe that means they are smart.

There aren't any smart people left after all the cuts to make room for DEI hires.

The custodial staff. So long as they continue to work and breed, their other activities are without importance. Left to themselves, like cattle turned loose upon the plains of Argentina, they have reverted to a style of life that appears to be natural to them, a sort of ancestral pattern... Heavy physical work, the care of home and children, petty quarrels with neighbors, films, football, beer and above all, gambling fill up the horizon of their minds. They have found true contentment.
