I work in customer service and will be starting a new role in authorizations. I wonder if I'm safe.

@a1 for some of us it is a better offer. 6 months for me vs the 10 weeks I’d get if it was a week per year severance.
@a1 seems like it is significantly better by comparison.
Isn’t that good for job security tho? Your being told your needed.
@a1 if what people said about our severance policy is true, I’d get 2.5 months of severance but 6 months if I took this offer.
I work in a sub section of InfoSec in BTS. Our whole org was excluded from VSPs and not eligible.
The entire company worries about the same thing. The voluntary offer isn’t much better than normal layoff severance.
What’s going to su-k is the people that stay will have increased workload and probably more reorganization.
