Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

US Layoffs today 9/2?

Been seeing for days on here, fishbowl, and reddit that layoffs are anticipated for today (9/2). Is it happening? Is it big? What time will we know if we’re in the clear?…… at least for this round :-)

Fusion apps, after 20+ years of service! Got over in matter of minutes but I guess it’s a good thing to get out of toxic work environment.

Nice way to return from the Holiday in the US. Got notice first thing today. Ironically received my thanks for 25 years service email two days before. Loyalty counts for nothing here. Good luck ever getting a raise. Worked with Fusion apps in the US.

@a1 India, US. Mostly in EBS, but also impacted some in Fusion. All levels: support, development, sales, managers, directors...

Apps sales leadership, nearly a decade at the big O and I'm out. 2 promotions in past 5 years and 6 total Club Excellence trips but that doesn't seem to matter.
I feel bad for those who remain, imagine how much more work everyone will be expected to do. The volume of customers and sales pursuits doesnt decrease just because they chose to lay off 20% of the sales force over the past year

It's happening in EBS today, they said something about 'restructuring the position '. Not sure how many. It's better than staying without raises though. They haven't given raises not even cost of living for years. They are horrible leaders. It's happening and all one can do is move on.

Happy RIF Tuesday, America! Two decades plus in Fusion, marketing, corp ops, etc. So glad to at least get the severance weeks and leave this dogsh*t organization behind. Felt good to uninstall Slack from my phone.
