Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Merchant was down because of Marketing

Because the marketing team doesn’t think revenue is there job. I heard that’s what is being said in meetings at the very top. I thought we all have a hand in driving revenue? And, I thought the main job of marketing was lead creation. With being off by 1% in revenue and it coming from merchant…will people start listening now? How many leads were generated by the many special events they’ve created for themselves to go to? How many from south by Southwest? How many from Tabitha Brown? How many from when they took their whole team to the Super Bowl? Is anyone asking revenue questions?

@a9+1jspx0wtg - You are new here to Fiserv, I can see that. You have no idea what you have just said and the actual meaning behind the words you stated. You have not been a 20 - 30 year employee who worked for the company when it had the right people in the right spots. today, there is just a large group of id--ts leading the ship at the moment.
Find a job elsewhere or better yet, your turn is next for the RIF list.

Marketing always watching this board and trying to defend themselves is hysterical and so typical of new regime. I really did try and give them the benefit of the doubt until recent meetings you can tell that they are Absolutely clueless, we are in big trouble with them at the helm.

Revenue in Merchant is down because the company doesn’t spend money on innovation, it cuts costs. Doesn’t help that Clover has been led by id--ts since Beatty left

Ah yes. The old 'everyone points the finger at everyone else' routine. That is the Fiserv way! They are now fully integrated into Fiserv culture.

I’ve worked at a few fortune 100 companies and marketing here is as good as it gets.

Hiring TB… genius
Extended visibility at the most viewed television program of the year… genius

Maybe if the products weren’t dogshit then the leads that marketing generates would actually convert…

To @a1+1jspx0wtg
You are so focused on the OP's typo that the actual point went over your little marketing head.

To the OP, great point and questions most of us would love to know!
