I think one day in the near future they will notify customers and announce a date to turn the TDM switches down and that will be the end of that.
No one will buy wireline because of the union.
If there was no union, we wouldn't want to sell wireline.
Funny how that works.
They would spin it off into its own company.
I personally like to use the anti -union internet provided by altice and Cablevision..I mean FIOs is overrated.....and the techs...come on...as soon as I figured out what language the altice tech was speaking...I just used GOOGLE translate and we hit it right off...my only problem was ..I figured he was probably making 12 bucks an hour and I had to hide my ROLEX
Lowell is going to buy it......he's going to tie it all together with AOL and YAHOO
TDM portion of the wireline days are numbered. Not much capacity left in the switches to justify power consumption and labor costs.
Who is going to buy dinosaur telco with entitled union bloat attached to it? That would be the worst business decision ever.
True, true, the fidiots either understand the business nor the interrelatedness of the technologies. This is what leads to selling off towers and then getting hammered on leasing space, or selling off data centers and then wondering why dark fiber business is down, or moving OneFiber money to failing 5G and then wondering why there have been and will be so many negative margin circuits, or wondering where all of that cheap cash flow went after selling off all of the cash rich GTE local loop properties...
If over-funded 5G performed as well as under-funded FiOS and 4G then it might be worthwhile listening to what anyone in senior management has to say, but to date all that they tell are tall tales and lies.
Every time these geniuses sell off a part of wireline we end up paying more when the buyer decides to jack the rates. Short term gain in exchange for a long term pain in the you know what.
Yeah, not happening…
Look at T-Mob doing it without the boat anchors that VZ and T have. Profit is in the wireless area and they can leverage the cheapest transport vs the contracts we have to use with T or worse wait on our NG to complete to launch a new site. T-Mob eating our lunch and dinner daily we are another price war away from BK. #TruthHurts
So funny these arguments, wireline owns most of the middle mile for wireless
One thing is very clear is that there are very few people left who actually not only understand this business but also know how to do it profitably. There is almost no one left.
I will buy landline and fix it the same way i fixed twitter
YES
Products who offers ,Verizon has no products, everything that they have come up with in the past has failed badly..
The down fall of Frontier was buying all of Verizon’s unwanted landlines
So who in their right mind would buy tens of thousands of entitled overpaid union workers plus retired workers pensions and be in debt forever ?
It's @OP at it again. No one in their right mind would take wireline, esp NY - they couldn't give it away!!!! It's a break even for VZ - who would take losing properties???
People without a clue!! Wireless is almost all profit. LOL
I heard it's dragging down the bottom line. Wireless is almost all profit.
Not happening. Who do u know getting into the arena/products we offer. Fake news
Yes
