30+ years with VZ..left when my customers told me we sucked. Switched to Tmus on my personal phones to see if my customers were correct, Yes ..less expensive..same if not better coverage and they seem to value my business. VZ network is no longer able to demand a premium and thank God I unloaded all my VZ stock with the writing on the wall. Too bad Hans destroyed this once great company.. BOD should all be canned for allowing this downfall.

Like the OP, I left B2B 2 mo’s ago with 30+ yrs. Vz was good for the 85% of my tenure. 2.0 screwed things up, Lowell doomed the company thinking he could create an international GIANT & picked Hans over Stratton. Plus he wasted BILLION$$$$ on Vodaphone’s part of VZW, Media/Yahoo M & A’s, etc.
I encountered many of OP’s issues but in reality it was the total lack of support for B2B. Mark Tina (VP SMB sales -mid markets East) and his group of little sycophants piled layers of sh!t on top of the “fertilizer” Hans was dishing. Activation and order failures and lack of customer service support were the least straw and I’ve joined many former co workers at TMo. From a Culture perspective it is very much like the old Bell Atlantic days of getting the business in and sales teams paid! They also have way more Sales support so Sales can concentrate on bringing the business in. And they are still looking for more GOOD sales people, not order takers - go to McD’s and practice “Do you want Fries with that” if that’s your closing pitch.
Like I said I stayed until my customers complaints about our network, pricing, and customer service became overwhelming and I could no longer justify or make excuses of why they should stay with us. Leadership had become totally incompetent as they had been promoted based upon anything and everything except the ability to lead. Just a cluster and I hope if you are still there it gets better soon. Became a TMUS customer, stockholder, and promoter. Now that my non-compete time frame is completed I may become an employee, but the grass is not always greener so just enjoying being out of telecom for the moment. It was a good ride with GTE/Verizon, absolutely no regrets, just disappointment at what VZ is now. Thanks Hans for destroying another once great company.
I’m with VZ for almost 9 years. I actually enjoy what I do however like everyone we are always looking to cut back on expenses at home. We’ finally switched from VZ to ATT strictly based on price and options/ even with my company discount. We switched all 5 of our family phones! We got the same exact price however we ended up with unlimited everything/and received 5 iPhone 13s. And for the first time in 9 years we have 4 bars in the house!!!
Aww... OP hurt wittle Hanz's feelwings.
@OP+1mlsJI2D Yeah T-Mobile might be great if you do not travel. I had T-Mobile and it was complete garbage outside the state I live in. I’ve had VZW for over 13 years and experiences one outage. Sad and pathetic to see someone bad mouthing s company that provided you with a pay check, 401K, etc. If the company was or is so bad why stay 30+ years? I am sure you are not missed.
At this point, there is no network superiority. It’s a commodity and all of it is “good enough” for most consumers these days. The leadership and marketing geniuses don’t get that!!!
