Higher ups talking about of dividend cut coming. I wonder how this would affect our stock together or 401k

VZ will never reduce the dividend as it would be disastrous to the stock price. VZ is not a growth stock, investors only hold it to receive the dividend.
This goes back to the VZ/VOD partnership. VOD was never provided any partnership profits until the year VZ did not have the cash to meet the dividend payments. VOD only started receiving partnership profits when VZ tapped the VZW cash to pay the dividends. The VZ Execs and the Board knew at that time and know now that if the dividend decreases or is not paid, then the stock price will take a huge hit.

VZ RIFs is an unequivocal YES!!!!!
Another RIF, forthcoming, this summer, outsourcing all of Information Technology whereby the VZ headcount will be reduced by another 10,000 employees.
Will outsourcing, to other countries, help save VZ??
For a takeover, amalgamation, for a behemoth, such as VZ, very unlikely. Plus, the current administration in the oval office wants to provide their constituents a free-lunch, for the sake of affordability. Therefore, more competition breeds lower monthly prices for better for affordability.
Free cash flow!
Rapidly lower the corporate debt!
Maintain the corporate dividend!
Lol. Can it get worse? I guess so.
This will never happen as VZ has very healthy cash flow. If the stock price stays in the mid $30s and Corporate whittles away at continuing to reduce headcount, eliminates all the larger commercial buildings that are empty, and continues to terminate retail store leases as they expire, we will become ripe for a takeover/sale.
i really doubt that they will cut the div.if they do it will be a bloodbath within this company..

How valid is your source or conjecture?? Any merit or just all simply fluff......
You're the only one whispering that the dividend may get cut. We still produce billions of dollars a year. We just provided guidance on lower network spend next year. We are in a better position financially to absorb the dividend than we have been in three years.

Dividend cut, is bad news, if the whispers have any merit? What would BlackRock do as to its hoard of Verizon shares? And, be it to be known, the current VZ CEO is on the BlackRock Board of Directors!!!
If they cut the dividend the stock will nosedive. That's just how it works for a dividend aristocrat. It's the only reason people buy VZ.
Cut the dividend and go big on 6Yee and AI to automate network operations and replace human workers, is what I've heard is Hans' plan.
@vcb+1mS5iAlq Yes. I love this. I think I saw that you posted it in another post or someone else did (same suggestion). While I doubt they will do jack it is still worth contacting them. Plant the seed.
vz will be a $10 if not less stock and then the companiy go belly up get delisted and everyone will lose there jobs and all the fat cats walk away with a golden package
Then for certain, there will be lawsuits against individual executives as well as the board. What has gone on at Verizon is malpractice and there are enough witnesses to it. The key is to involve the House of Representatives now because clearly, the USA is at risk with these chumps running the USA's telecom into oblivion.
Why are you still in VZ stock?
