Thread regarding Appian layoffs

UK Presales falling apart

The rot has been allowed to set in at the management level. High performing individual contributors are leaving every week! Frustrations with the Presales team now boiling over as opportunities don’t have any support and management clueless to what is going on in the field. GA looks like a fool thinking RL is a capable leader.

@4p9 RL being bought in and backed has lead to more damage than can ever be fully understood. He was a direct cause for so many people leaving or wanting to leave. It will take longer than RL was at Appian to recover, if it is even at all possible.

Lots of good people have left and word is out that life’s good outside of Appian. Don’t be shocked if more leave regardless of the recent activities.

The UK used to be the best team and highest performing region for Appian. Now it is in full transition mode. It’s hard to replace the amount of talent that has left the UK the last few years.

why is this comment consistently being removed. everyone is aware who RL is and the plague role he plays in the team...

"it's not going to stop, I can see more leaving in the next month. By next year might be an entire new team, good luck selling without the tenured people. What was once a close and happy team has been completely destroyed by RL and his direct hires."

Very strange a very accurate and truthful comment keeps being removed.. not sure why but I guess being truthful isn’t appreciated by some.

@OP
Looks like the great SC 2.0 migration is now in full swing, with yet another long-tenured pillar of the Appian Solutions Consulting team moving on.

The impact in EMEA is impossible to ignore. A remarkable amount of institutional knowledge, customer credibility and experience in articulating the Appian story has now walked out of the door - across both Sales and Solutions Engineering.

If you’re ServiceNow or Pega watching from the sidelines, this might be an interesting moment to pay attention. There are customers, opportunities and relationships that will still need experienced hands - go and take your pick!

At some point, losing enough people who know not just what to sell, but how and why customers should buy it, starts to matter.

An empty bottle can stay standing for quite a while.

Until something knocks it over.
