When Morale Drops, Does Productivity Follow?

The company’s stock has been extremely volatile recently. Will the already low morale take an additional toll on the share price? Within my team, even with AI assistance, I haven’t seen more code being delivered. In fact, performance in terms of code output has unfortunately declined.

ive sold all my stock while it's at where it's at. on some lots I even took a minor loss, but that's still ok with what's gonna happen to it in the near future.

@q1 the only motivation for me to work here are now bills. Single income family.
The pay is low, but im willing to take paycut and move out, not that other places are any better, ill take chance with a new employer.

My morale is low and my low productivity has gotten to the point where my management is starting to notice. The writing is on the wall, and I am just praying to be laid off, even if it is without severance. In the US, I can't just quit and give up the ability to qualify for unemployment insurance, or the tax benefit of being able to pay for health insurance from my HSA.

@hq Note down my words: Elliott’s anger will boil over on the hottest day of summer.

Fear of layoffs drives low performers to overstretch, but their limited capabilities yield no meaningful results. Meanwhile, top talent has lost trust in talkative, incompetent leaders and started slacking off. The failure of this environment is looming.

Incompetent management cannot stop this downward trend. Instead, they try to justify their existence by inventing superficial groups and roles with fancy names and forgettable mnemonics.

@dg Elliott is upset, Elliott is in big wrath, and Elliott is going to take brutal actions.

We are moving from chips to systems, and then systems to ruin.

Elliotts morale may go down soon, they would sure ask for bigger layoffs.

@a8 When the turnaround time of customer issues and requests become unusually longer than before, it's a bad start. Check this is happening in your team.

Customers are raking in billions, and we can't monetize shyte.

When customers go down we go down , when they go up we still go down.

From systems to failed monetization models.

@OP productivity will continue to get worse as they force AI into everything and continue to outsource jobs overseas.
