26 years here and its called a No layoff clause.
That means ladies 1st management. Will be selected to be riffed. The last time union was let go they all had to get all rehired with back pay and were given an option of an eisp.
Union is the move if your looking for longevity and decent pay.
Management title looks nice on paper get more $$$ but are the easy to replace & always on the choping block to keep you on your toes always. Thats not how I want to live nor work.
