There are over 10K people work remotely in WF

Do they have medical exceptions to work remotely ?
How often is the exception reviewed?

Not fair for people who goes to office.

Vast majority of remote workers will be gone by end of next year. Yes, there will be pockets here and there, but few. I am to be displaced in Q1 (I’m remote) and we were told that remote non-hub is the bullseye.

One of my coworkers got a remote disability accommodation for ADHD. Basically she walked around talking to everyone and annoying us, doing no work. Now she gets to sit at home and do no work instead.

Most of us have a medical accommodation. I had a permanent medical accommodation that was taken from me since they are doing the RTO stuff. Now its every 6 months for review.

The helpdesk is mostly remote. Idk who is giving them an exception but it’s ridiculous

I have to go to they office since "RTO" (was fully remote before COVID), but I don't degrudge people that are still remote. Their existence, every single day proves that remote work 'works' in spite of the constant lies from HY. That's a good thing.

I mean, yeah, some folks might have medical reasons to work remote — doctor’s note, health stuff, all that jazz. They usually check those exceptions every so often to make sure things are still legit.

But hey, don’t stress too hard — life’s not always fair, bro. Just grab a coffee, crank some tunes, and ride that corporate wave. 🏄‍♂️

WF was spread across multiple states before core locations BS. They didn’t renew or simply terminated lease in those places. So all employees at those locations are now tagged remote.

I agree but it does no good to focus on things you can't control and not worry about others. Life is unfair and you'll just ki-l yourself worry about what you don't have vs what you do have.

This number is falling the fastest and seems to be a top priority to eliminate. Yet there will always be 3-5% disabled who would likely receive a med accommodation for remote, which still equates to 6-10k. There are still entire fully remote teams of underwriters and other roles, and also recent quiet hiring of fully remote tech staff with niche skill set.
