Another round?

There’s been a lot of predictions on here about more rounds. Anyone got any real intel? It appeared the layoff impacted certain teams a lot more than others. It would make sense that the teams that were spared last time will be next in the firing line. Before Christmas and bonuses? How did they decide which teams were impacted more than others?

@2pq they should lay off a whole country office. Would save a lot of money. Pick the under-performers and cull cull cull.

@2p6 Of course it's concentrated in the US, given the majority of the firm's associates are located there. Smaller scale things happening OUS though.

@2mp anyone in a non US office got info? Sounds like all we hear are American IT teams bearing the brunt and the odd team here or there in July. Seems the pain is concentrated.

We were just told that we would be receiving a calendar invite likely by 10am which would indicate whether or not we will be impacted by the next round of layoffs. This is Enterprise Tech Services. It is impossible to get much work done waiting for this email/calendar invite. Anyway, the invite will be for a meeting held today before 1pm where we have a one on one layoff meeting. Good news is we would be on pay roll into Feb 2026 so we can train our Indian replacements. Wish us luck.

@2fc yeah agree. How much money was wasted on fruitless marketing campaigns and headcount on people who don’t add value but just are good at selling themselves and playing up non achievements?

@2f7 Why not now? The tacky curiosity campaigns and the overstaffed miscellaneous teams should be an impetus to get rid of a lot of them. Why should they be given more time and others not?

@14h The vibe in our office su-ks. We basically are waiting to be told to train our offshore replacements, all while dealing with the cr-p Helpdesk, Command Center, and other now useless offshore teams. Because they su-k we work even harder while they get a pass. Trying to figure out if the regime hates people in general, or just Americans.

@ks they don’t have to report to WARN because of a loop home in the regulations… the severance that they offer and the agreement you, the laid off employee, sign to accept the layoff exempts them from reporting. Happy to be corrected on this if inaccurate.

@ks No RIF planned at this time. Lot of retirements in the works, people voluntarily leaving and a constant trickle of low volume layoffs (2 or 3 here and there), but not big enough to get noticed until you realise someone isn't there anymore. This pattern will contunue for a long time yet.

Nothing on the www.labor.maryland.gov… WARN notice log. However, I don’t see the July layoff on the list either. Not sure what the reporting threshold is, but I would assume the July RIF would have been listed.
