There was a time when only underperformers were at risk, but that’s long gone. You can get a pat on the back today and be cut tomorrow. It’s stressful to always wonder if you’ll be next, and it makes showing loyalty feel pointless. Hopefully, the job market improves and we can all leave before being kicked out.

Layoffs is inevitably in any corporation and it is quite obvious trend here where first to layoff non bootlickers not how well you perform.
If you are in their circle of buddies then you are safe.
However, now as ELT is trying to MIGA, the outer ring buddies get layoff too.
So it is a another boot polishing game.
@OP it baffles me how clueless many smart people are to everyday macro politics and how it affects things. America is headed off a cliff due to the obscene and fascist idiocracy now in charge. No one will be safe as psychotic greedy m/billionaires ra-e and pillage the country, destroying everything in the process. More layoffs are coming…at some point. Sadly. Tragically. Buy gold!! lol. (Sigh)

Why stressed when there is a life line of job vacancies at APAC manufacturing site. They are recruiting so check the roles and ask for a transfer.
