Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

How will I know?

I currently work for Juniper Networks. If I am offered a job at HPE, how will I know if they want me for the long term, if they’re just testing me to see if they want me, or if they already know they only want me for the short term and plan to make me redundant at their next round of redundancies?

And how often does HPE perform job layoffs? Is it every quarter or more frequent?

Are you in a support function? Or a support function within a support function? Are you adding value to the company? Seriously, try to answer that objectively. Is your boss adding value? Is your department. Are you paid a lot vs. your resume and skill set? Can any, average intelligence person with a mediocre work ethic perform your role? I know you want to stay anonymous but the more details you can provide will help us answer. Plenty of oldies on this thread who have survived dozens of layoffs over dozens of years.

Question is how do you know if you want them for the same reasons/questions you posted? Don't forget that you get to decided too.

I wish you good luck and good hunting.

Layoff happen every month. Job security went out the door years ago. If you are relatively young and way underpaid you have a good chance of being around for a while.

Anyone in this company has a chance to be let go at any time. The severance is pretty good so if I were you take the job if they offer it to you and either look for a better position elsewhere while working or wait it out to see what happens. No one can truthfully answer your questions.

Good luck..........
