Losing a job here is stressful, but there’s a lot out there waiting. Plenty of people have been through layoffs and landed somewhere much better. It might take some effort, but there’s no reason to doubt any of us will find a place that actually values its employees.

That's cute that you think any tech company values it's employees.
@OP You need to plan according to the fact that either the employee or employer can give notice to "seek other opportunities outside of Oracle" with a couple of months notice at best.
what opportunities? have you seen the job market out there?
I was affected by a earlier layoff and I am thankful that I am now able to learn other skillsets, because it seems like no employer cares about my OCI knowledge and wants everything else. What got me in the door was my knowledge of open source software that is universal.
