Ford’s future: powered by spin, driven by excuses, navigated by clowns

Yesterday live from the GTH Comedy Hour, where the hits keep on missing, accompanied by an audience of clapping sealions.

Kumar jumps on stage and blames torque, yes, torque, for Ford’s quality issues. Then waves off 90 recalls like they’re vintage collector’s items. “Don’t worry, folks, it’s all old stuff!” And yet still employed! The man’s made of Teflon and circus-grade confetti.

Meanwhile, Big Jim strolls in like a budget Bond villain: “We spent $5 billion on offices,” as if that’s a flex while profits vanish faster than a Mustang EV charge. Then he hits us with his big RTO inspiration: Amazon, the Hunger Games of workplaces. Talk about reaching for the bar... and digging under it.

And where’s Doug? No pink bunny this time, probably off lighting another $10 billion on fire. But wait! August 11th is “Skunk Works Day”, Ford’s top secret fantasy project, no, not FNV4, Canopy, etc.... Irony alert: even the name stinks. The platform? Still a pipe dream, still way off cost, and still stuck in design limbo. A PowerPoint on wheels.

And yes, folks, another Model E dud is inbound. New date, same disaster.

So buckle up, it’s all headwinds, zero accountability, and a future built on vibes, slides, and corporate mime acts.

We change this by demanding accountability at the top, not applause and firing failure, not rewarding it.

@ca Targeted due to being a perceived threat to LL+ intelligence, err... lack thereof is more like it. I just loved it when my manager would take "ALL" credit for my idea. If my manager were asked to explain it in further detail in a meeting and could not and then would ask me to explain it, I'd simply reply "No. You go right ahead and explain it. It was your idea". Then I just sat back and grinned. Try it. It truly breaks up the meeting monotony.

Ford’s HR/management cross-referenced employee ID badge swipe logs (used to track physical building entry/exit) with Jira ticket timestamps (used to log engineering work activity) during internal disputes or performance reviews.

This merged data was allegedly used to argue that certain employees— particularly whistleblowers or those disputing IP credit— were not “present enough” to claim substantial contribution.

If a young engineer complained about stolen credit or exploitation, HR could present logs showing “low badge presence” or sparse Jira activity to undermine their credibility.

In at least one reported case, the employee attempted to dispute this using security camera footage, but the relevant recordings had already auto-deleted after 18 days, in line with a 2020 Ford Security policy.

This suggests the existence of a record falsification or selective data framing practice, where time-tracking systems were repurposed to discredit internal dissent—especially when badge data contradicted actual productivity or remote work.

@cm …top engineers? Are we in the same company? Most of the titled “seniors” and “SMEs” here are based on tenure, not merit. Surviving here means taking from others. It’s a battle of who can fool who. The pits. No honor amongst confidence tricksters, beware. There are those who survive by bootlicking, but like we all know… there could be a snake in that boot. We are in ketosis and the body has no more fat left, the line of credit won’t hold us down for long. We are eating ourselves by biting the hands that feed us. NO! I don’t mean ford feeding us. I mean talent we stole from and claimed our own. Bad for business.

It's striking how often executives and top engineers champion flawed ideas, yet face no consequences for their missteps.

Kumar is a Beta who will toe the line. Weak individual who couldn't solve any problem only good at solving a basic calc math problem. Useless.

Many highly compensated executives seem to prioritize personal gain over effective leadership.
At the LL4, LL5, and LL6 supervisory levels, some display arrogance and lack the competence to manage even a small operation, like a convenience store. Ironically, Jimmy mentioned he values employees who speak up and are perceived as negative, yet these are often the individuals targeted or sidelined by insecure, overly agreeable colleagues who rely on flattery to advance."

@b2 How about just starting with a vehicle that won't get recalled?

@b4 Canopy is the tip of the iceberg for perceived great ideas. Just wait for the next flavour of the week.

Canopy 🤣🤣🤣
Where one person, CM, managed to take a mediocre idea and turn it into to a $200 million loss with refunds to all customers. Nobody got fired.

@a6 let's not get premature. I highly doubt it will be a Slate or Scout type of reveal this early.

DF was not at the Global Town Hall as obviously he is preparing for the August 11 debut. I guarantee you will eat your words on August 11th.
