I guess you're assuming that when you say "we" will emerge stronger that you won't get laid off, and that "you" will still be part of the "we".
@OP fairly obvious to me that there is a ton of overlap and fat to be trimmed. This is a good thing (unless you get nicked of course). We’ll emerge stronger.
