Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

It's not like I don't like Nike anymore but...

So, lately I am spiraling into anxiety and sudden outbursts because I no longer believe that we are doing the right thing.
Do you feel the same?
I mean what EH is doing may do some good for the company, definitely in long run, but what about now, what about people who gave their blood & sweat to this company but they are just number on the some budget.

Am I the only one?

I think you generation likes to say anxiety too much.

Take a deep breath, think about what you can control, and take actions for your own happiness

I don’t like Nike anymore and I’m not afraid to say it.

I resigned this week, good riddance.

Tired of the constant dysfunction and sea of self righteous shoe dorks.

Y’all sell socks, tone down the egos.

Nothing we do here should be stressed about OP. You need to take some mindfulness courses and realize your job is a job and we can all be replaced. None of this really matters, try to have some Nike fun and collect your paycheck and live your life.

@OP This I go back 40 years at least but Nike's culture always been people in the bottom are expandable. Anyone below PK that is what mean.
Anybody is just expandable. There is no loyalty like some company and Nike is definitely not one. I believe that is reflection of its founder PK. There were some exception like MP, TC etc But there were many who left company with bitter taste in their mouth like Rob Strasser, Sonny Baccaro, Peter Moore and thousands more.
So if you are upper third and below in corporate, your life is worth as much as fly in NIKE.
If I had a dollar for former Nike people who is not happy with NIKE that I met, I will have steak dinner for entire week.

Hey OP, what you are going through is what thousands of other went through in Nike for last 50 years so the boat is full and crowded

You need to H1 Be the best you can be. Then you’ll be fine. EH + H1B = BFF4Eva

@b6 I hear you, when I said blood and sweat, I meant a lot of their adult life years being loyal to the brand in whichever way possible.

Blood and sweat?! It’s shoes and shirts not an oil rig

Let's hope that EH can pull through but for last 9 months, he has not shown much other than cutting people in mass like Napoleon retreating from Russia.
Let's hope that he has army with him when he reaches home.

You are most definitely not alone. I also hoped things would get better faster with EH. Maybe that was unrealistic. The constant undercurrent of anxiety is very real. I listened to an older podcast episode with Brene Brown recently where she said “when I’m emotionally hijacked, I’m not fit to speak, write or do.” That’s stuck with me whenever that simmering internal anxiety threatens to bubble over into an outburst. Find ways to re-ground before reacting so it doesn’t derail you.
