Anyone hear anything about what will happen in areas where Frontier is within the same geographic area as current Verizon turf? Will Frontier employees be absorbed into our FAA’s? Much of Frontier in New York is IBEW. How’s that going to work?

I agree, the acquisition will be a disaster. Frontier went with all in on XPON technology that will not support Verizon’s system. It’s going to be a mess. Verizon would be stupid to immediately try and push video back on their FiOS footprint in CTF!!! The equipment is cheap but cost effective, Verizon has already been running into huge issues trying to integrate in mock trials. I have no clue why Verizon wants to push Video and Grounding back on CTF????
D-mb post is d-mb!
@tp ...or, wait and see. These are simple lDlOMS lDlOT.
buying frontier is going to be another disaster for verizon ,just watch and see
Frontier and VZ do not overlap. VZ doesn’t sell service in Rochester.
@OP Thank you all for your non sequitur reply and not at all addressing my question!
Basic M&A survival rules for wannabe lifers. The closer to the King and the closer to the customer that you are, the safer you are. If it is too complicated for some FP&A auditor/analyst on the consolidating team to figure out what value you or your department bring to the top or bottom line, then get a resume together. You want to be seen by the executives that are guaranteed to survive, to look competent, busy, and always up for more. In chaos there is opportunity for those who can help calm the chaos of a merger or acquisition. Good luck!
what did you do last week ?
@bs seems aptly assigned, and has clearly never been through this before.
@OP been sensing RIF as they will be overheads all over, approx 20%+
Frontier in NY?
Bye, bye Frontier employees
More than likely the same way it worked prior to the sale. And there will probably be language for surpluses in the agreement, where needed.
