Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Let's do our annual "when's the last time you got a raise" post

I'm up to four years. At this point, I'm considering it my own fault for not leaving yet, but trust me, I'm working on it.

They don't do raises. People don't seem to be leaving, so in their minds, it's a brilliant strategy, blind to the fact that people are occupying their time with newfound hobbies...or a second job.

For me it was 14 years, then get this, I got a pay rise just before I accepted redundancy in December 2024. Got 3% rise, and because my lovely manager delayed my departure until jan 31st, I ended up with an extra 3k on my redundancy package due to the rise. So my advise is to stick it out to the end as dxc will need to constantly shed staff to try and shore up it's dismal performance. In what other company would you go 14 years without a pay rise after getting 'solid performer' rating every single year? I'm glad I'm out of it now, but it makes me sad to look on here and see nothing changes.

Roll on retirement or redundancy folks!

It's a once in a decade eventually at DXC. By the time the next likely opportunity comes around I doubt any of us who post on here will still be employed at DXC.

Surely the answer is late 2024 after the much heralded salary review which was so extensive it took months and was so great it meant leadership no longer see the need to answer questions on reward because everyone is now happy

Ten years for me. I’m only a few years away from retirement and I don’t have the mental energy to look for a new job so will have b to stick it out until that time.
As much as I hate being like this my time is so unproductive it’s ridiculous but I jump through all the hoops and appraisals to keep myself employed. I actually feel it’s a sorry end to my working career when I’ve been a high output and high quality person for every year of it until I joined DXC.

The company doesn't do pay rises. It pays new hires at or in some cases above market rate to get them in. Then can't afford to uprate existing staff. Then decides oh well they don't seem to be leaving so we don't need to bother.

Meanwhile it gets nothing done. Because the old guard won't work. And the new people can't because nobody will help people who are supposed to be worth more money.
