Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

I’m starting Lexapro until I can GTFOH

I’m so stressed out, anxiety ridden, overworked, and underpaid. I keep thinking this place can’t get any worse and it continuously says hold my beer.

May this little pill carry me through until I can find a new job and get away from this toxic environment. This has become the worst place I’ve ever worked and I’ve been here over 14 years.

I have to escape. I can’t wait around to see if ML fixes the culture that FB destroyed while becoming absurdly rich in the process.

I’m just starting to look - VP’s that left… How long did it take for you to find a similar level of position title and pay?

@OP long time listener first time caller (poster). This really hit home. I’ve been here less than 2 years and hearing it from someone here for 14 and at the VP level makes me realize how widespread the toxicity and stress/anxiety truly is. I’ve been interviewing and making every attempt to GTFOH. Also can’t wait to see IF ML improves things

It will take more than lexapro.

  1. networking. Many VP jobs aren’t posted
  2. lots and lots of customized resumes for blind applications. like every application highly customized with CGPT
  3. Not lots and lots of interviews. the few you get you have to absolutely crush and even then you won’t win them all
  • Took me about 6 months from looking to getting an offer.

worth it in the end though- way better culture and same pay better benefits.
treat it like a part time job. hunt every single day!
