Thread regarding Charter Communications Inc. layoffs

High demands no compensation

Construction departments are being asked to perform more and more task daily. How much more can the ask for , quicker project turnaround with contractors that are passed off at the company / construction department because they cut their rates , oh yeah by the way we need you to jump on that project its due in 5days. Who is running this company? CHINA. They need to look at leadership , we use to have leaders that had done the work before and knew how to solve problems, now all we have is paper pushers , with a degree in management that only look at the numbers . But when you confront them with a problem they avoid it at al cost. They blame employees because their stock prices drop, look at whos leading the way and you'll find your problem. There is no benefit for busting your butt when they will just pile on more work. TIME TO UNIONIZE!

@OP Charter is a terrible company to work for. When they took over Time Warner and started running it the Charter way, everything went to he-l, they cut the prices which cut contractor billing by about 20 to 25 percent, then came up with a charge back scheme and took on average another 5 percent. This all took place for 2019. From then till now they have only raised prices once and that was 10 percent. The new contracts signed last year to to 2027 with no increases. Cost of doing business went up 30 to 40 percent during covid alone. How do they expect contractors to survive? And now they cut construction prices and they're paying contractors late.
