Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Can Humana care any less about humans?

It’s disheartening how the pursuit of profit always comes at the expense of workers first and clients second. I know I'm not saying anything new, but it's still astonishing that we've accepted such a system as normal. Those who work directly with clients often find themselves unable to provide adequate services and care because the focus is solely on costs—while also constantly facing the threat of being let go. It breaks both body and spirit equally.

To the last post. KEEP YOUR ADMINISTRATIVE POSTS TO YOURSELF! You are obviously one of the over payed royalty with deep pockets that thinks they are worth the enormous paychecks that you give yourself. You are not one of us that are in the trenches and work hard every day waiting for you to throw us a bone. I truly believe people get what they deserve in the end. My only regret is that we can't call you out by name but you know who you are. But then again you probably think these negative posts are meant for your manager friends but really it's you.

Post ID: @OP+1jpr304zb ... I have an idea. Start your own business. Work a 70 hr week, invest everything you have and then borrow more. If and that's a big IF. If you are successful you can employ lots of people. At this point you have a choice to make... Sell shares in your company to ensure you can expand, now you can have more customers and employ more people... Pay their health insurance, give them paid time off, allow them to work from home give the a good wage. By this time you will have sold enough stock to make the company viable but now you don't make the decisions, the investors do. Do you think those investors are going to care about you.

Try listening to an earnings call to learn that our profits are very slim. It shouldn’t surprise you that we have commitments to shareholders and need to make money.

They literally make NET of almost 3 billion each year - I don't know how they cry that we aren't performing well, thus, cuts.

Hi SNP CM here I feel like I get to help members all day long. We do have good vacation time and my health insurance is halfway decent compared to not having a job and not having health insurance and the paycheck. I’m happy to go to work everyday. Is Humana Perfect absolutely not but in this economy glad to have a job
