Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Wiped Out

Not only has the gramps destroyed my stock portfolio which i've saved for over 26 years, cutting it -42% YTD, but this admin has also created insanely high inflation giving out cash for votes, it feels like my money is worth about half. Yesterday someone told me they were happy to working on some climate change project here. They want everyone driving a EV, but most the power grids are from the 60's and with the nuclear plants being shut down they're having brown outs like a 3rd world nation even before EV scales.. absolutely no common sense.

I suppose "gramps" is anyone older than Trump, who's 75.

Sounds like you this poster is either a political poster bot looking for some place to dump its trash to or and incredibly bad WF employee that is very bitter that they didn't have any investment strategy and lost some money in the envisions 401k so they have to pu-e somewhere and chose here to blame the Current presidency.... lame either way... I am figuring its really a bot posting because who would want to show how bad they really are at everything.

Reducing taxes benefits everyone. How does taking money from those that earn it and giving it to others help everyone? I would call that buying votes by giving entitlements in return. Different than keeping more of what is yours.

And a huge tax cut for the rich was not buying votes? Amazing twists of facts from the right constantly.

The money faucet has been on a lot longer than that, and both parties have been buying people's votes with other people's money at least since the income tax came along. The only viable and sane course of action is to limit federal spending to those areas strictly enumerated in the Constitution and have the states manage everything else.

Of course that's not the action that will be taken, because we have a toxic mix of people that want "free money" and people that think other people should get "free money" because feels. As a result, our debts will eventually destroy the nation. At some point either out debt servicing will cost more than we can pay or foreign powers will simply stop buying trillions of our paper. Either way, there will be a reckoning at some point and that will be all she wrote.

s&p went from roughly 4700 to 4000 so down 15%. What are you investing in that down 42%?

Literally one of the best comments I’ve ever seen on this site with PERFECT references. Times like these I wish it wasn’t anonymous so I could know more people at work to commiserate with.

You must be 100% tech if you're down that much. In which case, you weren't complaining when tech was up over 100%.

Kinda reminds me when i used to go out to eat with my 6 co workers for lunch. I didn't have much money and would order have water and the cheapest item, they would order the most expensive fancy item with appetizers galore with multi drinks. The bill would come and due and the gal on the team would throw her phone out at the end and say the $300 bill was getting split 6 ways... The least responsible love to a good feast off the frugal.

Bless both of yalls hearts. To the OP for being d-mb enough to have portfolio allocations in his 50s susceptible to such huge losses. And to the fool with the first response who believes without any evidence whatsoever that an election was stolen, just because an orange id--t says so.
