I wear an N95 mask which I replace with a new one halfway through my day to protect myself and in turn protect my wife who is in a high-risk group due to her asthma. We managed to go this long without catching COVID-19 and I'll do my best to keep it that way. So please, stop reminding me that masks are optional and that you don't care if I take it off. Stop telling me that it's over and that I need to relax. Yes, I can see that I'm the only one with a mask. When you tell me I live in fear, you're right. I love my wife, I don't want to go through the rest of my life without her. I AM scared that due to people who don't give a damn about anybody but themselves I might have to. So yes, I'm scared, but I have a good reason to be, whether you like it or not. Just let me wear my mask and move on.

He is not the one making a big deal out of it, other people in his office are.
dude, wear your mask , ok. Don't make a big deal about it.
@sdv - and it's people exactly like you who spread sickness and cause outbreaks (COVID or not) in the first place. Probably the same type of person who knowingly and willingly sends their kid(s) to school sick.
"Oh they're kids... it's good for their immune systems" while all the parents whose kids got sick from yours are now fuming because you were stupid enough to knowingly send your sick kid to school and get others sick.
It's not that different from being sick and shaking someone's hand or coughing in their face anyway. Super selfish.
Good for you. I am vaxxed and boosted. I had Covid a few weeks ago, before RTO. It was no worse than a head cold, however I WAS sneezing and coughing for a few days. Certainly enough to infect anybody around me. I self-isolated, but that doesn’t mean the person riding up in the elevator with you will.
Wear your mask, cherish your family, to he-l with your A-Ho-e co-workers.
@ybq, you are obviously off your rocker. Take care.
@OP, at this stage of the pandemic, your fear is unfounded. One to two years ago, maybe your fear made sense. But, it definitely doesn't now.
You are a hypochondriac. I would suggest that you get an exception somehow to work from home.

I don’t care about myself - I wear a mask so I’m not dragging it home to my infant kids or to my dad who can’t vaccinate due to chemo.
Are you and your wife vaccinated? If yes you have nothing to fear, right? It's those unvaccinated people spreading covid but you're vaxed. You have nothing to fear. If your vaccinated why wear a mask at all? Your protected. Follow the science
You can wear an astronaut suit if you want, no one really cares. Anyone asking you about this is probably hamfistedly trying to say "I'm not worried about the rule, if you WANT to take your mask off, I'm cool with it". That's not "bullying". Either way, do what you want and be happy.
I am sorry you are dealing with bullies like this (at work and on this forum). Everyone should do what they feel is best for their families. It is childish to bully or harass anyone for their choice.
It amazes me how little kindness is shown towards one another anymore.
Stay safe and know you are doing the right thing to protect your family. A close family friend recently died from Covid due to a compromised immune system despite being vaccinated and boosted.
People really need to respect the needs and decisions of others in this and many situations.
You do you, boo.
