Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

It's pretty hard to keep your skills sharp here

It wasn’t until I started looking for a new job that I noticed how hard it really is to keep skills sharp here. No matter how hard someone tries, there just isn't much room for improvement and growth. This has not been a learning culture for a long time. How do people here manage to keep their skills from atrophy so they stay marketable?

Not being able to stay current on skills or advance them is a truly good reason to look for a new job!

@OP+1eangKEZ - you know, that is the truth. I have experienced that too.

My skills are as sharp as a sponge.

I soak up new information like a kn--e.

I horse around on company time, always learning new things. I log it as "education". Ought to make Guy proud given he likes to waste big money-bundles on various education series.
