Everybody keeps talking about impending layoffs but do we have any idea when a new round might be coming? It seems like everybody accepted layoffs as a fact of life and is just assuming more is coming without having any concrete basis for it. Please, correct me if I'm wrong and provide some details if available.

Based on all we have heard, my guess is that no one is safe, and no date is safe, until at least the 4th quarter of 2022. Until then we are running the gauntlet. We won't truly be safe after that either, but there's a big difference between regular times and times when the company is actively seeking to reduce headcount by tens of thousands.
I hear that August 19th is still a date so just 20 days to go.
Go look at the head count under Charlie Scharf. Is that number between 200,000 and 210,000? No? That is how we know more layoffs are coming.
The day after everyone acknowledges mid years.
The slow trickle is just cruel at this point. The high stakes game of chicken that Charles in Charge seems to want to play with us to avoid severance payments is disgusting.
It’s one thing to just leave, but to leave without a plan is stupid. Treat it like any abusive relationship. Quietly make preparations, without tipping management off, and just slip out in the dead of night when they least expect it. We owe them nothing. Let them do without us. Let them keep their severance. We’ll keep our self respect and dignity.
I’m aware of upcoming layoffs in September. Does anyone know if you’re paid out for PTO and what occurs with unvested LTI awards when you are displaced?
