No. This will be staggered. I heard will be thousands.

I was thinking the same thing. I wouldn’t be surprised because there seems to be a bigger, more devious plan in the works.
Your post:
“Maybe Karen was hired to destroy the company like the rest of the country and economy under the current administration?“
Nope people gotta go the election is coming up and OrangeBoy must win or everyone is out on the street all or nothing. Can't afford American workers! $7.25 is way too much! Can get someone in a prison camp $0.
"Maybe Karen was hired to destroy the company like the rest of the country and economy under the current administration" get a life schmo it's the other guy so entrenched in destroying the entire country so he can erase the records of being the stupidest person ever to hold an office. His response shut down the government, shut down jobs and the economy, shut down everything. Make Big Oil clear to pay no taxes, and dump their sewage in the water! He wants the average person which he considers anyone but himself trash! Get a life brother.
Maybe Karen was hired to destroy the company like the rest of the country and economy under the current administration?
No ...... They are doing layoffs here and there so no warn notice is filed as of now
Below poster: if they are terminated, no severance to pay.
Why will anyone cut low performers foreseeing a deep cut later? Does not add up
Expect stealth layoffs here and there before a larger mass layoff or two down the road. For now they will target low performers, people who don't want to RTO, folks who are earning close to the top of their pay grades, "Directors" that have no direct reports. They'll keep these numbers low enough to avoid WARN notices, but folks will suddenly disappear with no real communication about it.
Groups are trying to position themselves ahead of the big layoffs by cutting off the easy targets now, so they don't have to go so deep when the big one comes, which will most likely come in waves, 2k here, another 2k 6 months later or so.
Right now, they're laying the groundwork for using chat bots / automated AI systems to replace call center folks, and outsourcing essential functions that require a live person. They're expecting huge savings here in the next 12-18 months between headcount and real estate expenses, this will be managed by 3rd party vendor for the most part. On the IT side, they're moving to shift to external vendors for as much as possible to cut headcount (this is a little smoke and mirrors, headount is a key metric related to the stock performance, the jobs likely will shift from being CVS employees to being offered a role by the an external vendor who may or may not have similar benefits)
I'm applying everywhere just to get the he-l out of here.
Comments are on point, you can't live in fear. Your job is as guaranteed as you are to make it there commuting on the highway. Try to take whatever action you can in any situation so you can feel relief that you are at least trying to do the right thing. In this case it's likely interviewing to feel some relief. In the long term it's an emergency fund which is easier said than done. They're not going to be laying off their entire workforce so the chances aren't likely you will be cut but everybody gets unlucky sometimes. The best to you friend!
TLDR;
Nobody has any info
Biologically, you will breathe until the day you die. The question is are you going to waste your life holding your breath and living in fear working for a company like this? I can only tell you from being under the CVS umbrella the last 10 years that nothing good has come to anyone who is not an executive feeding off of the sweat & strife of the worker bees that get the day-to-day work done & keep customers happy & coming back. I don't personally don't forsee any change in the future so you're better off going somewhere else and putting in your sweat equity there. As you may have read, many people who continued to work hard, due to promises of better times ahead, have waited it out & are now in the fear that they will be fired under false pretenses and made up termination tactics instead of getting the severance package they deserve for sticking it out so long. If you are new to the workforce or have been with a CVS company for a short time- I'm sorry. It's just my opinion that you should start looking for something else where you'll be respected and appreciated. There are no guarantees wherever you go but the monster CVS has shown its true colors over the last few years.
It’s silly to believe rumors, especially on an anonymous message board. It’s also silly to live in fear. There are no guarantees on any job.
They aren't going to telegraph it...you'll be gone and won't even know what hit you. Karen is a ruthless cold hearted bi--h and until she is forced out this company will struggle.
Can you ever really breathe at CVS to begin with??
