Does anyone know how large the NA sales force wfr impact was? Was it around 20% of the NA sales force, or higher, lower?
Preaching the teachings of AI without understanding its inner workings or technology can certain lead to a bleak outlook for HPE.
Isn't that how it always goes? Volunteer if you like but you may not be accepted and we reserve the right to turn you down for "business reasons" and move to compulsory redundancies.

UK layoffs announced today, "any volunteers?.. If not we'll spin the hatchet and see where it lands", that may not be a direct quote.
Paying lower than market rates to employees, when upper management enriches themselves with compensation above market rates.
Hard to pay market rates, when they're constantly telling the employees that they are an expensive date.
You cost XYZ vs Bangalore or Costa Rica. So in HPE eyes, you should be lucky to be employed by them.
Greenlake is a dumpster fire from a customer's and user's point of view. It explains why so few customers have signed on in the last couple of years. It provides very little value if any. The idea and opportunity is very real and is there for the taking. It is very hard to execute when your top talent keeps leaving, because you fail to pay market rates.
Is Greenlake truly an extraordinary invention in human history, or could it possibly be a fluke?
I just found out that several of my former coworkers have jumped off the sinking ship called HPE.
It looks like innovation is now occurring at Nvidia and AMD, not HPE.
I guess that’s why HPE is hiring again. They’re trying to offset the brain drain.

For a company that started business in 1939 and is still a major player in technology, HPE will be around long after most of us have moved on.
It’s funny. I was contacted again about a position at HPE that I interviewed for a year ago. I didn’t get that job last year even though I was more than qualified. It turns out that another (more stable) company snapped me up and gave me a huge raise. Sometimes rejection works in your favor.
BS, all jobs are going to 3rd world countries like India.
I actually had an interview at HPE and have not heard back. They found me and asked me to interview.. It seems better than where I currently work. At least you guys are profitable overall.

HPE is seen as unsuccessful because of its deficiency in significant long-term strategies, emphasizing piecemeal sales rather than innovation. The management's attention to less substantial matters signals potential doom for the company.
Proposing that HPE acquires Nvidia's technology is a strategic and brilliant move to make their advancements our own.
Something interesting to note is that Nvidia has evolved its business strategy from hardware to now turn-key for AI. They own the full stack from silicon to software to machine learning. This is where a successful company can adapt to today's industry.
So if HPE, HP, Dell, Lenovo, are just providing hardware and doing nothing else, they're going to fail. These companies are just a circuit board to Intel, AMD, Nvidia, and in the future, Qualcomm. Heck, even EC companies like Renesas and Microchip are making software. All of these suppliers don't really need an OEM. They're just doing it because it generates money, and that's smart!
Hpe has made it very clear, only their stock is what matters the most, their shareholders matter more than their employees.
They can make a billion dollars in profit, but if the stock is going to go down, they will lay off as many people as they need to.
The kind of cold-hearted and sick but that's the corporate world we live in now.
Never too sure what HPE stands for anymore in the IT services market place. It was confused several years ago in 2014 at the time of the split out of HP between HP Inc and HPE. With a flaky and flimsy strategy devised by Meg Whitman and her senior executive team the company has since been sliding towards oblivion at a rapid rate with Work Force Reductions (WFR) occurring at every juncture. Fast forward 9 years and the situation is no better in fact worse. DXC mirrors the same lack lustre performance with clients questioning the future of both brands (DXC and HPE). DXC stands for Dysfunctional Cross Company and HPE stands for Encourage People (to) Exit. These are companies that are stuck in the 20th century in terms of thinking and execution. They are not vibrant businesses to invest in as an employee. Either look elsewhere or avoid. Equally if you can jump with an WFR package in your back pocket then JUMP!
COMPAQ was real trashy company. It's not surprising that COMPAQ had created a group of unproductive workers who rely on others.
FY 2024 will be the final year of HPE and company will restore the name of COMPAQ.

Just get your skill set up, doesn't matter if you're a bad or a good employee, if they don't want your department there, you're gone.
They will probably have a typical big cuts around January for the end of that fiscal and then each quarter they will keep making cuts.
HPE way to play
Not sure why people get fixated on October. I understand that's when the large WFRs happen, but HPE lays off every single week throughout the year. Sometimes whole teams!
Let the countdown begin, Monday, October 21st, 2024 is the probable EOY layoff date for this fiscal year.
