Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

CT&O takeover by Accenture

Does anyone know the long term plan with the Accenture contract? I know they said follow-the-sun model, but will they eventually get rid of all ftes? Any timelines

@7xap+1u2XLsGr if that number is true, seems like there could be more cuts coming

Regulators won’t let the bank go below 30% FTE .

Yes and the same HR and recruiters and Bill, Beau and BOD who’ve hired the former clowns are still in charge of hiring. Who thinks the future is any brighter? Oh and don’t forget Joe and his input!

It's not shocking that these guys are being replaced, that whole organization was proven to be inept.

Truist 101. Who needs to hear from the little people actually involved in the processes? It is much more important to prove who is in charge than to make an informed decision.

We were set up to become a regional powerhouse, now we are a joke (at best) in areas we should be dominating. It is staggering how quickly banks with no history in our core states are moving in and taking business. But hey, we have a golf tournament.

I don't know the long term plan with Accenture, I don't think they are going to get rid of all of the FTEs since they really are following what other big banks are doing and most have some form of FTE in the 1st shift.

I can only tell you two things for certain, both are coming from a pretty damn high up individual.

  1. The contract with Accenture is only for a year, of course this can be renewed or extended.
  1. There are A LOT of people from the upper director positions down to lower management who are not happy at all with how this went. This apparently was something that just a few people knew about and planned, and it seems that there was almost no input given by the actual CT&O middle and upper management. There are many who are absolutely shocked by what teams got cut, and there's a lot of fear that things aren't going to go well with this.

Your mileage may vary depending on who you ask, but the person I talked to is not that many steps below the CTO. When someone at their level didn't even know that certain critical teams were being replaced by offshore and had no input on the matter, that's pretty shocking.
