Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

New Minimum wage and new pay grade

Looks as if every pay grade range will be increased. So if you are within the pay rang of the grade, you will not see an increase. For example, existing pay is NTL Grade 106 at $55k has a min of $43k / mid of $55k / max of $74k. Proposed NTL Grade 106 has a min of $53k / mid of $65k / max of $83k, which means existing pay will not change at $55k. Welcome to the game. Think this company cares about you hard working people who have showed up faithfully for the past 5+ years? No, Truist only rewards those who abuse time off and/or does the very minimum because there are no repercussions with this company.

@8lom+1idVpx8l - solid post. One has to wonder how (or why?) BB&T‘s Board members failed in their responsibility to their stakeholders. When you think about the what and how of the components of the merger, I am shocked at the lack of scrutiny. I see shareholder class-action lawsuits over corporate dealings much less egregious.

Kelly King orchestrates a deal whereby he creates a huge payday for himself by using BB&T shareholder capital to pay a PREMIUM for SunTrust. Sold to the public and shareholders as a happy “merger of equals”, the behind-the-scenes understanding between Kelly and SunTrust was never that - SunTrust would get FULL control of the combined entity after Kelly King’s brief “ego tour” (and really before).

Every BB&T stakeholder lost in this deal (employees, shareholders, communities). The winners were SunTrust who (incredulously) bought BB&T using BB&T’s own shareholder capital - - - and an enormously wealthy Kelly King.

Impossible to believe that Kelly and the BBT BOD at that time weren’t complicit in how this new bank became SunTruist. It had to be the only way Suntrust would agree to the merger. Rogers and company knew how bad Kelly wanted this and took full advantage of the country preacher. All you KK sycophants still worship at his alter. SMDH!

@7hfv+1idVpx8l Kelly isn't Executive Chairman any more. He's retired from that position, also. Now, he's just a board member.

Speaking of a crooked televangelist, Kelly's no better than Billy Gram's son Franklin, another wolf in sheep's clothing!

Speaking of minimum wage. Kelly King is now, get this, raking in over $8 million in a trumped-up “executive chairman” role! I would hope even Kelly’s biggest “supporters” finally admit they got sold out for money. His whole schtick is as obvious as it is pathetic - a crooked televangelist tearfully lecturing his flock on values while profiting from their trust. The only difference is he slithered into banking instead of religion. I guess if anything came out of this mess, there can be absolutely no argument about Kelly’s moral character now.

In your example, if it's true, you would be raised to the minimum, at 53K if you're currently below that.
