Are they doing severance with this round of RIF's or is it just 1 person here and there. We had two HLA's just randomly fall off our team this week and I think both were let go. I didn't talk to these 2 much so I don't want to bug them and ask if they got sev. If anyone getting RIF's this week, are you getting severance or they just laying you off and saying good lucK?

I got laid off with a severance package on October 26th. I was told it was due in part to "Work From Home." I have been at the company for 23 years.
Are blumpkins given out as part of severance in addition to Amex cards?
@7dru+1pgSFJhr - Severance is only base pay, I called and asked and they directed me to it in HR. it is wild that if a cpc gets laid off they will get way better sev than a mortgage banker
I got RIF notice on 10/27. Knew it was coming and am elated!!!!
Everyone in Tempe is fine by EOM
@7kxg+1pgSFJhr, are you a HLA? I'm curious if the severance includes commission or just base pay?
I'm an hla in midwest and they're still hiring hlas for branches, but we're all so slow.
The total number this round was about 350 folks-myself included. There shouldn't be any more until at least next year. As severance goes you get 2 weeks pay per year of service so generally the least tenured people get let go regardless of performance.
@1ahl+1pgSFJhr - Thank you for responding. I am sorry to hear about your loss :(
and to @1uyp+1pgSFJhr - and we aren't hiring, my market has been cutting slowly and slowly, it isn't like march 2023 where we lost a bunch of people in 1 quick action. For a while since March we lost noone then out of nowhere people on here are talking about RIF's and 2 people on our team are now gone and our LM is hush hush like they were never even on the team.
Oh and to say we are hiring, I am in a market in California and we have went from 5 LM's in 2022 to 1. We have 1 LM running our market now and there is no job posting for a 2nd lm.
A psycho , coward, maga hat wearing POS just mrdered a bunch of innocent people in Maine.
I lost my job yesterday due to staffing need changes and I will be getting severance. I am not sure about other people who were let go. I think that it was here and there. I had no performance issues in the last 17 years that I was there. I think that they just wanted to get rid of people.
OK, so you don't seem to know the circumstances at all. Were they let go? Maybe ask around. It's possible. There are always performance standards.
On the other hand, I doubt LMs are eager to lose people. Fewer HLAs would mean the need for fewer LMs. And, we are still hiring. LMs are interviewing for openings.
It has been stated over and over again that Chase wants to maintain the current level of HLAs. Plus, we are still hiring. So, doubtful about RIFs. No RIFs equals no severance.
