Can anybody share more info on this? Is it true or just another unsubstantiated rumor?

Below poster, I have seen many ads on tv for Humana Medicare advantage, and infomercials…and, there is usually a layoff in January when they let the people go that they hired specifically for open enrollment….
Heard there are planned RIFs in Jan if Humana missed the Medicare Advantage goal again. They're not even running ads in FL at this point.
This is for employees, not Medicare, totally different ballgames
I am not able to find the other post concerning Cigna you are referencing. The network of providers hasn't been an issue in the past for Humana. It just doesn't make sense... unless Humana is deciding not to offer Commercial plans in the future. 32 states is significant.
There is another post addressing the Cigna issue, it seems Humana doesn’t have as many provider options in some areas….that’s all
We are still waiting to hear who will be affected at our level. It has been confirmed we will be affected so we are all on edge. I reviewed the benefit booklet and also the presentation pdf available on Hi on the benefit selections available for 2023 and in 32 states Cigna PPO plans are being offered (no Humana plans) for 2023. What is going on?!
And even for the associates not affected by layoffs this year, the future is very unclear. I hope I keep my job, like everyone else. There is a bigger picture here, and it would be nice to know what is transpiring behind the scenes.
5 years ago we were all hanging on to our seats with the Aetna merger wondering if we would make it through with a job. We rebranded to CenterWell and now Cigna plans are being offered to Humana associates.
@dsum+1hWmOcNH You are rocking it! Thank you so much for letting us know 😇
Market leadership should know by next Monday. Constant announcements coming the next few weeks.
@6zkz+1hWmOcNH - do you know if these folks have been notified?
Who is considered “everyone else” for November cuts?
@6wtz+1hWmOcNH- Market RVPs, Directors, HSDs, ADs
The email Sent out on Friday the 29th from CT did say things would stay the same for care management for awhile. She said that to be transparent things may change at some point. I think someone else posted about this on another thread.
So would HUMCS triage and support be included? We are moving to a different segment soon.
Fyi for care managers, several leadership resources are saying confidently that there are no planned RIFs for nurses. Plans to hire in October. But who knows. Blessings to all who may be let go this year.
Clarification on senior leadership? VP's, Directors?
@6ifh+1hWmOcNH- Regional operations=Medicare markets
What is considered region operations?
Not surprised to see the head’s up on regional leadership RIF given the consolidation. Thanks for sharing the timing. It’s sooner than I was expecting.
If you work in region operations, there are 2 rounds of RIFs. One next week for senior leaders and another in early November for everyone else
What departments got RIF notices today? Or is this just a rumor?
What department will receive notice on 8/1?
8/1 is the day I am told that notices will be given and you have the option to stay til October or leave as soon as you are told. You will get paid either way.
We are told it is only at the upper levels but with regional realignment and new lines drawn we all are just waiting
In the area I work everyone is terrified to say a word . Our leadership does not care about us they only care about saving themselves. My immediate manger denies that any of this will affect our department but we all think she will be let go if it comes down to it because she in not in the favorites of our director . We have a meeting today so maybe we get info , maybe we don’t , This is no way to run a business . Our department leadership is horrible and yet they stay .
I can’t substantiate anything but it makes sense that the next round of cuts would be coming in August. With all of these teams shuffling around, I know they will be looking at redundancies especially in shared/support services areas - IT, HR, communications, culture, finance, and more.
I've overheard this at work but can't find anything about it elsewhere.
