Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Every colleague's departure is stressful

I have been trying to leave this miserable place for months now. I am partly to blame because I did not try to leave earlier. Now I'm worried about which of my colleagues will leave next, because I'm overloaded. Anyone else having this problem? I mean, I’m glad for everyone who gets a new opportunity somewhere else, but I’m worried because Fiserv will add their work to my plate.

The good news is - I now work a prime competitor of Fiserv. We have implementations work booked out to 2024, and are beginning to book 2025 work this month. FI's are bolting from Fiserv, and we are busy as all get out.

Let Fiserv sink.

Funny thing is they keep planning for tremendous expansion in some areas and at the same time keep cutting the team. It's very difficult to recruit back people with same skills. You end up training the new people and the next cut comes around

I like it when managers pretend to set priorities. Like we have a choice on what we are going to be working on. We only work on the most critical items and the slightly less critical items do not get done.

Put in your forty, and go home. The work will still be need to be done when you show up tomorrow. They made this choice, they can deal with the fallout.

What are they going to do? Make you find another employer?

We are a sinking ship without a captain. Where is leadership? Not talking about the hard-working managers, but the leaders steering the ship and making the decisions? What the he-l have you done to this company and the lives of so many dedicated employees?

Where is your integrity? In the end we will all give an account of what we have and haven't done with what we were given. What will you be remembered for?
