Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

It is very clear that they do not care about employees

At the previous bank where I worked, the leadership was constantly talking about "caring for employees", that "employees are the biggest asset" and similar nonsense that they repeat without even thinking about it. At Truist it is much different. I’ve never noticed this leadership even trying to pretend to care about us, have you?

Yes, but even Machiavelli followed up "it's safer to be feared than loved" with "but don't be hated."

"Management caring about employees" must be the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard. There is not one company in the world where management cares about its employees. It is possible sometimes it looks like they care when they are doing something to benefit them and as side effect benefits the employees also.

Oh contraire, Beau says……………
“The new Truist Securities headquarters in The Battery Atlanta will be a unique location that will help us continue to attract, develop, and retain best-in-class teammates in order to better serve our clients,” Truist Financial Vice Chairman Beau Cummins said in a news release.
The SHR arm of SunTruist won’t be happy until the Purple monster in downtown Charlotte is empty and the return to Georgia is complete. This is what happens in a coup. Bill and Beau can look out their office windows and watch the Braves.
