Did anyone else see the new quota?!?!?! Nice easy first month....yea right! You take march numbers and plug them into the new comp plan and you only come to 50% of the actual quota. Way to hide a decrease in commission pay in a new comp plan. I challenge other stores to take March numbers and plug them into the new structure and see how that compares to the new quota.

Love the new commission structure. Our bucket for this month is 8,100 and most of my team is almost at 70% and we still have 13 days left of selling. Love it
@5ckf+1g2bSnpk Except that our DM plugged in the numbers from last month and we would have made 475.00 less based on new comp plan. It’s not hard to figure out and the numbers dont lie. Like people have been pointing out on here recently if your whole store slams maybe you will make more. So slam away.
I decided to give it. Shot based on OPs numbers in March, we actually would have increased our check like $650. So far this month we are trending to have every one of us do better than the max over the past year and a half. We normally barely hit even and have taken a hit on nps the last cpl of months. If we continue like it is (i know it’s day 6), we will see right at $2500 each.
I know a lot of the go to here is to be critical or conspiracy theories about how we get paid. I think we have just been so tired of the minimal money at our store that we have all just tried to max it out this month and are seeing some good stuff. All in all, don’t knock it until you’ve actually tried it is what i would say. Complaining and playing numbers from past months or what they are trying to take from you is just defeating yourselves and absorbing that energy. As a team, we had and still have givin up on our store managers, we are just doing it ourselves. Please proceed with the down votes because you are jealous now. Lol
@3jlu+1g2bSnpk Yup and now they want the reps to sell like they did when 3k-4K checks were possible. One thing hasn’t changed though, those bottom of the barrel reps have stuck around and still get the same check as everyone else. Obviously they are still bottom of the barrel.
It is quite obvious that based on the new structure Verizon wants the retail stores to focus on upselling. Historically upselling turns into an aggressive selling environment which includes false churn and slamming. This contradicts the company’s 2.0 plan and reasoning for changing individual commission in the first place. Unless you get every rep in the store to be aggressive the comp checks will be smaller then ever.
Verizon took down the documents and deleted the open slack groups that had all of the info. They forecasted a 20% reduction in pay company-wide with this change. This was by design.
Inside sales will be the first to drop like flies because they can directly compare their individual performance. A single multiplier makes them a lot less money for a lot more work than the old phone + bucket multiplier.
You have to be a fool to think a new comp plan would ever be better or allow you to make more money. Every comp change is worse for the employees, better for the company, they are slowly shutting commission down, and the people keep dropping like flies!!
Not like the point of sale even functions to sell, im not sure why anyone is worried about selling anything because several selling days were ruined by the pos just not working
Where are the fools saying VZ going to make it better with the new commission?
Good luck next month LOL
"Verizon is the worst paid major wireless carrier for store employees." Truth. It used to be you ended up here after getting experienced, now it's you get in here with no experience to go somewhere else.
Verizon is the worst paid major wireless carrier for store employees.
We had a GM take the last 6 months and see what the pay out would have been using the new commission formula. It was 30-35% less! every month even factoring in a multiplier based on RIS scores. The only thing he didn’t include was the contribution spiff but even IF you get that total checks will be down.
I can't imagine not being able to see right through this commission change and not realize it's a massive cut to our "bonus" Ignorance is bliss I guess.
That makes no sense why would you false churn anything when pull through pays the same for upgrades or new lines. I do agree though it was a very clever way to hide getting less pay in either around these parts nobody notices or nobody wants to talk about it
100% agree. Unless every rep in the retail stores “slams” there is zero chance of hitting targets. Remember to make sure those upgradable watch and tablet lines get disconnected so you can get those new pull through lines. There is no secret formula to those stores who are shouted out on calls and ki----g it in certain metrics. How do they do it ? Slam rinse repeat. There was less false churn when we were on individual commission.
