Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Round one!

My location is currently open. Some reps may take the package. Some want to work from home. I feel like this is only the first wave of VSP.

"Wise captain", "lucrative EISP", "landline is safe". These are all mumblings on union entitldes. I almost forgot we are in the early part of EISP beggin season. It goes from August to November. They will congregagte on here in masse beggin for their handout and then will get mad as heck when November comes and they get nothing. Happens every year since the great crybaby fest of 2016.

"All organizations will face cuts of 15-49%...I am in HR management and hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst." - @6fsa

Hey HR, if one reads between the lines, might one assume a lucrative EISP is coming?

Massive cuts are being planned now and will be announced prior to 3Q2020. Some organizations, like retail stores, are being gutted. 1 in 3 stores will survive and authorized retailers will be used with all company owned stores closing by 2Q2021.

All organizations will face cuts of 15-49%, just like AT&T is currently doing. I am in HR management and hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst. Good jobs are really hard to come by now and will continue to disappear for the foreseeable future.

A wise Captain rights his or her ship before it hits the rocks. That's what's likely occurring here, steering resources to more profitable lines of business and worthier pursuits @5bav+161LvBp4
This is an example of good leadership, IMHO, and, with an eye towards retraining those whose functions run the risk obsolescence , quite morally decent as well.
Why are people so negative?

Yes I think more will come. Verizon has gone downhill and the quality of the management and leaders is at an all time low.

The VSP as it stands is ONLY for stores closing and/or locations reducing head count.
