Heard rumors that 25,000 full time jobs will be cut next year, which includes retail. A move that large would be discussed with more people than the 5,000 layoffs, since it would be a huge change to plan. Any one hear anything else about this?

Our team ended 5 contractors contracts early last week. It’s happening people. FTimers next is what I heard. Our boss told the entire team to get their resumes in order a month ago.
Not eliminated just 3/4ths moved out of the US for some place paying the absolute lowest or no pay

Layoffs are coming again next month; those affected will be notified end of this month! There will be Hundreds of closures, and hundreds of layoffs! Unfortunately, the CVS way is to keep it all “hush hush” until you officially get “the call”! My vote is to fire the cr-ppy leadership teams; that would save hundreds of thousands of dollars- they’re all cold hearted, rude and cr-ppy managers anyways!

25k is definitely possible if they are closing 300-900 stores.
I heard they also are planning to layoff 25k more too. Severance packages will be even more robust to include coupons to Bed Bath and Beyond.

No one that would post here knows anything.
There might be no layoffs for the rest of the year, the company might go under, or anything and everything in between.
But yes, the way the company has been operating doesn't exactly make most of us feel very secure in our positions.

Haven’t heard it, but it’s not surprising. Stock has bombed, changes in restructuring. Times are hard for many. Why not just make it worse and have people on edge for the next several months wondering or not if that email will be in their mailbox wanting to set up a teams call. I worry every day that it will be there. Nobody at this point is safe. All we can do is just hope.
Be your best and invest in yourself! Get your ducks in a row. Nobody knows and tomorrow isn't promised.
