the only one you should be taking advice from is your financial planner. If you don't have one, get one.

Rinse repeat 3 times in 24 years?

Going into summer VSP’s are predictable. They want to see how many volunteers they get at the beginning of summer, then do forced adjustments going into the fall. This approach gets the desired needed salaries off the books by the new year.
Rinse. Repeat.

I'm concerned I've been with vz for 14 yrs. I wanted to stay 5 more years for Healthcare reasons as I need multiple surgeries, and to pay off my mortgage. I think my head is on the chopping block as I got an anno'nymous call asking if I was going to take it from a higher up. What do you all think? I'm curious and desperate for advice. I'm also in my 50s, no on r is going to hire me at other companies I'm too old.

I have an idea. Instead of an email or video chat. We should hold a meeting for 100 employees at Radio City Music Hall! YOU ARE NOW MY ELITE EMPLOYEES!

There is no magic number. They will compare volunteers against the needs of the orgs to determine where work can be consolidated, outsourced or eliminated and when or if a position should be backfilled when deciding whether to accept or reject. Doubtful there will be many rejections. On the flip side, if not enough people volunteer, there are sure to be RIFs to follow. Actually, there will be RIFs next year and the year after and the year after anyway.

SAMs in B2B didn’t get the offer. But almost everyone non union got it including wireline. With so many people getting it and I’m sure so many will volunteer I bet there will be a lot of denials

I'd love to know what groups are considered critical

There is no eligible criteria. It applies to all domestic management employees from VP down, outside of a few critical groups. Has no bearing on your work forward status or tenure or business group.

The Hans email sent to everyone or at least a very wide audience. 99% sure the scope of this GAP dwarfs any individual one off packages that may occur in small pockets periodically.
