Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Thinking of switching to Fiserv

Currently working at FIS, but it has gone downhill for a while, so I am thinking about switching to Fiserv because results seem better from the outside in.

The discourse here is incredibly bad though, so I wanted to ask if any of you have worked at direct competitors and can tell me what has been worse at Fiserv

Thanks!
PS: Position is a junior sales role

RUN AWAY- sales here have a hard time 1. meeting goals (unless you submit your daily life to it) 2. actually getting paid for your sales. The whole place has gone to the birds... you have monitors on your pc to make sure your working, you have to go into the office a MIN of 3 days a week and expected to make it up even for holiday or vacation. Badge swipe checks are a thing even looking into in and out to verify the hours you are there.. so much more i could list but no real need.. stay away

Going to Fiserv from FIS is like going from a 4 star restaurant to picking out of the dumpster.

Stay away from fiserv. FIS is better!

Seriously, go read the reviews on Glassdoor. They are laughably bad. Especially when you consider the ratings are inflated by the one line shill reviews. CEO has a sub 50% approval. Lol.

Yeah, but who are you going to believe? Frank's paid shills or the internal employee software system? Lol.

Workday now says that just over 34,000 people are employees at Fiserv.

Jesus could come back tomorrow and take half of the Fiserv associates and Frank would still say we are 49K strong.

@2xwm+1kxL7rpd is correct. Fiserv offered relocation packages. Many were given about a week notice to relocate or lose their livelihood. Those who have been WFH were told work in a office or lose their livelihood. Oh and those whondid relocate? Many actually got laid off in thr last RIF. They moved across the country and then lost a job and are now in an unknown place. And don't forget the people who were given the "choice" of early retirement.

So yeah, the person is correct. People were given choices. Problem is not one of those choices took the employees onto account. Those choices only considered what upper management wants with no care for the peoples lives and employment that were decimated as part of those choices.

It's hilarious that fiserv pays shills to come here (and Glassdoor) to try and create a false narrative with "alternative facts". LMAO.

Don't believe the number on the internal company website! It's still 44k!

Don't believe people who were forced to relocate or get fired! Don't believe people who left because the environment is toxic! Don't believe we are led by mo--ns! We are a great company!

To the OP, you could give it a whirl. But my guess is you'll voluntarily move on in short order. If you don't like FIS, who actually believes in at least some modern management methods, you won't like Frankserv either.

To The Truth: 40,000??? I thought Frank said nobody was fired, so I guess 4,000 employees vanished into a hidden city. That said, DO NOT go with Fiserv as it is constituted today. It is FAR from the fine, somewhat flawed, company it was before the Visigoth invasion of FrankData came in. Only if you are starving and NEED A PAYCHECK NOW would you take a job there.

Idk what in the actual f—k you are talking about because I know plenty of SMEs that were told to relocate. Please put the cr-ck pipe down and step away from the lighter.

You know the scene in the movie Speed where Keanu stabs the gas tank by accident under the bus?

The truth - the only people who post anything positive here or on Glassdoor are paid corporate shills. Like @2xwm+1kxL7rpd who regurgitates the same talking points they all use.

That’s right, Fiserv is such a colossal dumpster fire that they actually have to pay people to say nice things about them.

The truth - 40,000 of us love it here. However we have a few who do not agree with the companies view that being in an office "the majority", which 3 out of 5 days is very reasonable and come her to create a narrative so they don't have to move to one of Fiserv's hub locations. Fiserv even offered them a chance to relocate, take a sales or rm role or work as a sme. Unfortunately, some believe that any change is bad change and can't adjust to the world as it is today. So yes you should see for yourself and never rely on a site where a tiny minority try to amplify their view as anything more than a few disgruntled folks who never fed the book who moved the cheese.

I used to refer friends and acquaintances to Fiserv a few years ago, but I have since suggested job seekers to look elsewhere and avoid Fiserv at all costs. I don't want my personal and professional reputation damaged. Hopefully that informs you of what you need to do in relation to Fiserv.

However, if you get a really hefty offer and you are willing to swallow a bitter jagged pill, maybe pass go and collect your reward?

Don’t do it. If you knew what they are doing to the sales teams you wouldn’t even consider it. And don’t believe what you see on glass door about compensation, it’s all lies to get people in the door when they need them! Speaking from experience.

Yes you should start working at Fiserv. Absolutely. That will leave an opening at FIS that one of us can use to escape.

Thanks you for your sacrifice.

Agree with the others. You're exchanging one devil for another. Look at Fintechs who are flexible and modern. Issues within Fiserv are getting progressively worse day by day, though that's hard to l believe.

Big Corp is not your friend in regards to employee benefits. If you leave fis for fiserv it’s like leaving one girl for her twin sister. It may feel good for a few weeks but they have the same mom and she a bi--h.

I know very little about FIS, though one fiserv colleague left to go there for about 20% raise and full remote. Lasted less than six months and made another move.

My advice is if you are contemplating a move and are displeased with FIS, don't look at Fiserv. It's not going to be better for you. Widen your search.
