During the pandemic I was a real trooper. I got the vaccine and I turned in for work every day. I didn't get sick. Being older, I don't have school age kids, I didn't have anyone in the house I had to care for. I didn't take ANY time off. I was restricted in the amount of PTO I could take, we had to cover for those taking 'special' leave. My work days were full on. We made extra calls to members because of the Pandemic and I had to cover for the work which would have been done by those who needed to take time off.
Just a few months later I got my reward. I'm burned. My desire to remain in the 'caring profession' has gone. I will find another job, I will survive but I will never again give my all to an employer.
