Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Anyone have any juicy insight into what's going on over in PDD (Design/Tech) in Home?

I am no longer with the company but very curious about how things are going and moving along since last year's layoffs; and what the overall morale is like in Design and Tech; especially in the Home Division?

Prior to my departure, promotions were scarce and people were feeling stagnant, overworked/underappreciated and not being able to move around and grow... is that still the case for most L4/L5s and maybe L6s?

@4mb Ha! Same here! I am quite confident that she was instrumental in getting talented people fired or laid off in late 2024 - with Jenny at the helm of it. At the time, we all foresaw 2025 layoffs coming - they were weeding people out before the mass one. I found Bingka to be a contradiction: "Let's lead, not follow" she proclaims in a massive campaign with cheesy presentations - then the first thing she does when we lead with innovative ideas to push for a seasonal collection is to give a thumbs down, and then push for whatever Crate or Pottery is doing to copy them. Good riddance to that organization. It's a contradictive mess and risk averse.

Not to mention after this year's quiet Pride "collection" - it's a company that has lost all credibility. Introducing new Featherly Friends with subtle g-y themes does not make one an LGBTQ-ally.

It is common knowledge that Bingka is a disaster. She is horrible with team and has not lead a product development strategy that raises the bar or drives sales. She is an insecure little runt that uses NYC as some kind of trump card to act like she is better than others. Everybody hates her and moral will not improve until she is gone.

Morale has been tough in home design/tech for almost 4 years. Hopefully Gena, new in role, will review the track record of leadership and make some much-needed changes. We need leaders who inspire, encourage and have a clear vision we can all align with. We haven't had that in a long time.
