Just a few days ago some centers in the Philippines got notified about more new hire classes being needed at 3x the frequency. That's right 3 new classes starting each week March to July. What does this mean for internal agents?, SAs, Management, and L&D?? Is everything going to the philippines and India by the end of this year? Well everyone you've been advised, another round of layoffs are probably coming by end of May or sooner. Sad to see VZ just gutted, but this is crazy. VZ Management over the vendor partners will be gutted by end of year too. I saw postings for similar positions overseas locally. This is year 2 of a 3 year plan to save billions aka rif city.

@4gww+1qZ46lTy Do not feel any shame at all. When you talk about how you outsourced people like its a good thing and then get stomped on by the boot you helped stomp others I won’t feel any shame in being happy that you lost your job.
@3mor+1qZ46lTy Shame on you for feeling that those people deserved to be RIFed ….they were following orders and doing their jobs as they were told in exchange for a paycheck just like most of us in this company
Verizon is NOT a Global Company. The majority of our customers are US based - not from wherever we are outsourcing to. We have no true Leadership- from the C level all the way down to Supervisors. Why are we ramping up so quickly? Probable to do away with all US based position so we can finally turn a profit. Tell me - how can our CEO continue to keep his job with these results? Because he’s on the Board of Directors at many companies and he keeps spreading his BS. When is all of this going to stop? He’s doing to Verizon what he did to Ericson…
The only ones I do not feel bad for is L&D. During that in person training a few months back I heard multiple L&D people going to other countries help with training. Glad to hear that the team that helped people lose their jobs are now losing their jobs. Also can’t wait to see how L&D manages to train more people while being gutted.
Being "global" is a fake news smokescreen to fraudulently package what is happening as some sort of progress. The following are the true facts:
- ) 99% of their customers are in the US
- ) Offshoring everything is designed to do 1 thing: save money, enrich shareholders and substitute for the lack of growth and failed imagination of the useless C-suite team
Anything else is a lie.
Yes, it seems as though the company is all in on India and the philippines. I've never seen an existing site get asked to do this last minute. Something big is coming, I think it's the end for the remaining internal call takers. Then they will start moving Pso sites from other areas to India and philippines too. It's over, we have roughly 3000 people for our internal team support customers over the phones. Currently pso has 70000, and climbing. I think the company wants to finish the job this year and cut off usa worker as much as possible.
If they are doing alot more training overseas it sounds like they need more L&D there if training matters. Seems they are going to just go all in with this stiry if being a global company.
