Bruce says it’s a short term problem

Bruce sent an email reassuring us this is just a short term problem. It’s not a short term problem for the people you are laying off, Bruce, due to poor foresight and leadership. Matter of fact, it’s a very long term problem for a whole lot of people especially in today’s economy and job markets. I hope you have a great weekend, Bruce. Don’t worry about how we are going to feed our families at all.

@3zzf+1qMTvx66 That means the existing SCRUM masters were likely very overpaid for the work/output/performance that was occurring. Tough to hear but is likely the reality. Those posted salaries have to be within the market reference points so that is a huge indicator that the company was overpaying in those roles. Ask your BLG (business leadership group) business partner for guidance.

many scrum masters in IT were laid off. And now Humana scrum master jobs are posted on job boards for 50% less pay than what we were making.

There are several in management that try to remain relevant when they don't know anything about what they are actually leading and what their teams actually do. There are a lot of jobs still at Humana that are useless and a BIG waste of money on salaries that could go to other areas within the enterprise. There are a lot of really good people that work here that do care, but the ones busting out the work on the daily do not get the compensation they deserve. I've witnessed many leaders who do not deserve the paychecks they receive and so many just feel hopeless. Moral is down and there are many leaders who just refuse to see the issues and listen. Sad that so many have to come to a place like this to read the realities and truths that they are unwilling to see. It is a shame especially since there are many efforts to make this a great place to work.

By continuously f-ing over our employees we are able to repeatedly fix our short-term problems and thus guarantee longterm growth of my stock options.
