Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

This place is much worse than I could have, or did, imagine

I was VSRP qualified when they offered it. I didn't take it. "How bad can it be?" I thought. If I had only known just how bad it would get, I would have accepted and never looked back. I'm hanging it up this year. I fared better from the strictly financial perspective, but it sure came at a price. This place is much worse than I could have, or did, imagine.

In the same boat, @lbd+1tNWvvxd. I’ve been cursing myself for not taking VSRP every day since. Fortunately, I got a great offer and I’m saying bye-bye this month.

I agree, unfortunately. Truist is the mini-me to WF, but give our EL time. They have shown lots of promise to become the evil (but not banking) leaders!

Wells Fargo employee here. Truist and Wells could be evil twins - so many similar complaints. Are there any publicly traded financial institutions that are not a horror to work for at this point?

Solidarity, my Truist brethern!

Original OP here. I wish you the best of luck in your new endeavors. I hope it will bring you the happiness that is missing for so many of us.

I'm fortunate to be at the end of my race. And I'm incredibly grateful for that. The constant chaos over the past several years have taken a toll and, unfortunately, I can't envision anything positive in the future for the employees here. That's pretty sad to me.

There was a time when this was a great place with a bright future. Those days appear to be gone. I'm leaving, but will still be watching. There's still a lot of people here I care about.
